At my words, Jeffrey froze and held me even tighter.
I watched Sophie, who was fuming with anger, and I could not help but wonder what Jeffrey would choose.
In my previous life, he had chosen Sophie over me, even to the point of killing me.
Now, he had to choose again–the woman he had loved for two years or being the Graham family’s heir.
I was dying to know what he would decide.
Then, I heard Jeffrey’s voice grow even softer.
“Ella, Sophie is just a fling. The one I really love is you,” he said.
“How could two years compare to the more than 20 I’ve spent with you? You have to believe me.”
I pulled away from his arms, and as I looked at his soft, tender face, I felt sick to my stomach.

I did not care about their drama and was about to walk away when Jeffrey grabbed me from behind.
