Chapter 5
“She’s not your fiancée! Who do you think you are, Daniel? Go back to where you came from!”
Jeffrey swung a punch at Daniel out of the blue.
Instantly, the room erupted into chaos.
However, Daniel fought back just as hard, punch for punch, with fierce resolve.
I was not sure who called them, but two security guards appeared and held Jeffrey firmly on each side. I glanced at the bruise on Daniel’s mouth, then gave Jeffrey an icy stare.
“Why are you acting so crazy? Just because you don’t like Daniel doesn’t mean I have to feel the same way. You don’t want to
marry me, right? Well, I’m making it easy for you. You should be happy. Now, you can always be with Sophie.”
Jeffrey’s teeth were gritted, and his face was twitching.
The room was a mess, but the hotel manager set us up in a new one. Everyone was happy with the wedding arrangements-
everyone except Jeffrey and Wendy.
Daniel had flown straight to the hotel from the airport, and he did not have a place in Nexus City. Hence, I offered him a place at
my house.
“This is your and Jeffrey’s house?” he asked, standing at the door. He looked like he did not want to come in.
“It was ours, but now, it’s just mine,” I replied honestly.
“If it bothers you that Jeffrey used to live here, I can find you another place,” I offered.
Daniel just smiled, walked in with his suitcase, and said with a light chuckle as the door closed, “This is pretty interesting.”
