“Rachel, die! Minnie, die! You two took Mom’s and my place! Hurry up and die! Only when you’re gone can Mom and I finally be legitimate.”
The sharp needle in her hand stabbed the doll again and again.
Christian’s stomach churned. “Clara, what are you doing?”
Clara was startled, shoving the doll behind her. “Nothing, Dad!”
His hands clenched into fists. “Who taught you this? Who told you to curse them?” His voice shook with barely contained fury. “They’re dead now–does that make you happy? Have you been waiting for this all along?” His breathing turned ragged.

“Where’s your mother? Where is she?”
Clara shrank against the wall, trembling.
At that moment, Mina sauntered out of the bedroom, stretching flirtatiously. “What’s with all the noise?”
Christian turned on her like a wild animal, his palm striking her across the face before she could react.
Mina stumbled, clutching her cheek. “What the h*ll is wrong with you?!” she shrieked.
Christian’s voice was raw with rage. “You b*tch, you killed Minnie!”
